TOPIC :- NEWTON’s LAW
Acc. TO THIS LAW , THE RATE OF
CHANGE OF LINEAR MOMENTUM OF
A BODY IS
DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE
EXTERNAL
FORCE APPLIED ON THE BODY ...
AND THIS CHANGE ALWAYS TAKE PLACE IN THE
THIS LAW IMPLIES THAT WHEN A
BIGGER FORCE ...
IS APPLIED ON A BODY OF GIVEN MASS
, ITS LINEAR MOMENTUM CHANGES OR VISE – VERSA....
THE MOMENTUM WILL CHANGE IN THE DIRECTION OF APPLIED FORCE. TO
UNDERSTAND IT FURTHER SUPPOSE THAT.
m = mass of a body
V = velocity of the body
The linear momentum of the body -> P= mv
Let F be the external force
applied on the body in the direction of motion of the body.
t = a small change in time
- rate of change of linear momentum =
So by 1st eq. of motion= v-u
÷ t
If the value of k = 1
F = ma
And whose mass is less it will produce less acceleration..
If u want to see the next part of this video i.e. Newton,s 3rd
law
of motion then...
